1. does a career in exerting minute amounts of power over unsuspecting and easily-irritated nerds excite you?

2. do you get so upset at the sight of things you dislike that you literally want to press a button and make them disappear?

3. are you capable of ass-kissing just the right people in order to hold onto power you were given by mistake and proceeded to abuse?

4. would you be able to answer the question "what is your favorite video game" with a serious and well-thought answer instead of "secret of the magic crystals"?

5. what is your favorite video game?

DmC: Devil May Cry was one of the most criminally underrated (although not critically) games of last gen, so due to negative fan reception and middling sales, it seemed unclear if we’d ever see more of Ninja Theory’s interpretation of the hit series. According to Russian retailer videoigr.net, however, it seems the game might be receiving a remake. “DmC: Devil May Cry Ultimate” game has been listed for pre-order for PS4 and Xbox One.

Additionally, cover art is included in the listings:

It should be noted that this is the same retailer that listed Resident Evil: Revelations 2 earlier today and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag before launch, and with Gamescom right around the corner, it’s certainly possible that there’s validity behind the listing.

Well JC was never hard,it's not like 1 frame linking in SF lol

The point isn't that JCing is some sort of arcane technique, but that easy jump cancels stroked the ego of journos who are bad at games and they ignored the awful content (levels, enemies, bosses) as well as the shoddy mechanics of the game. Journos may be shit, but I don't see how they didn't call out some of the junk in this game, like babysitting Kat, or the ever-present Ophion "platforming" sequences. I don't expect them to call out things like the lack of Trickster and Royal Guard analogues, or how dodges are way too defensive, that a 75/25 jump split is dumb, or whatnot. But they, and most apologists, glossed over plenty of legitimately shit gameplay and content.

Yeah, most of such reviewers ignored all of that while I still hear DMC4 is shit since it have backtracking. Yeah, thats bad but what would you expect from Capcom telling their own team to make game faster and add another system while DmC was delayed few times (heck, Capcom even had to help Ninja Theory). I wouldnt be surprised by ps4/xone version since its pretty easy money but I wonder what Capcom would do next. DMC4 sold most of whole franchise while DmC sold worst. I guess if they just want to earn money sequel to first game would be but thats Capcom, lately they are doing some stupid crap.
Also, blaming poor reboot sales on fanbase is just idiotic. It was supposed to gather new crowd, make franchise more mainstream. Of course it failed to appeal to old fans after such terrible pr but it also couldnt gather more new ones. Capcom wanted controversy (or maybe not since they keep sending mixed messages) and thats price for it.

What do you care about journos and how is that different than every user complain about Dante's hair?Game is just enjoyable to play ,runs smoothly and have better camera.Yes, bosses and weak part ,but how can they improve the game if all "fans" cry about is the hair and style points.

Come on! There are enough complaints about gameplay, lack of balance, 30 fps on consoles and we still hear about white hair. Dante have white hair at the end and that is not fixing anything (nor that stupid devil trigger).

DMC4 runs just fine at 60fps on both ps3,360 and even more on pc. Not even 30 is pure downgrade while game graphics are not that good. Thing like demon dodge, aquilla basic attack which can stun enemies forever and colour coded enemies shouldn't be there. But yeah, I guess people care more about stupid points, not that for example.

DmC got rid of it's Resident Evil roots, which alone makes it the best Devil May Cry. No shitty camera placement anymore, no lock-on button (inb4 someone calling that outdated mechanic "good" - no, it was horrible because you HAD to use the inaccurate lock-on to access certain moves) and only ONE puzzle in the entire game.

The levels are basically designed as slices of gameplay that invite the player to return later and bump his/her high-score. Gone are the annoying backtracking, Resident Evil-like puzzles and now you can speedrun the non-combat situations since Dante 2.0 is fast as fuck (only exceptions are: beginning of level 5, 12 and level 19's puzzle)

See, people still butthurt over style points.
The funny thing is that they don't try to understand the score system of the game.

Cute video, but recorded before the patch.

These are at least not just same enemies with different colour and you can use whole arsenal to take them (although you need to shoot or use projectile first, then melee attacks). Blue and red knights limits to whole two and creates such interesting scenario like chirping down health of single strong enemy with weapons intended for aoe.
