BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will launch for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 31 in Japan and Asia, and June 5 in North America, developer Arc System Works announced.
The company also announced that Blake Belladonna from RWBY will appear as a playable character via downloadable content, and that a total of 20 characters will be playable in the base game, with an additional 20 planned as downloadable content.
So far, all 20 characters in the base game have been revealed. Blake Belladonna is the first add-on character to be announced. Here is the list of planned downloadable content:

It's like in third gen Pokemon secret base. You're still battling your friend but in a.I form. Score points will allow you to buy demons/items, but like before you don't need to do this and the turn press system is not as exploitable as in the past one's so you can't cheese your way through. When fighting in duel mode you start with less MP than usual.

It's a good megaten game but a bad gacha game which makes it a case of good news and bad news.

Good because fans have a real shin megami tensei game to play on their phones.

Very bad because most japanese fans don't want to play a real megaten game with little gacha elements, they want to play a gacha game with a slight smt skin. most post from twitter are gacha players upset this actually plays like a game so this might not stay up for long.

One of the developers released a video/interview stating the game can be played like any other smt game, while the in game tells you that you can only get the best demons by playing it gacha style (grind for hours or pay money). In reality this almost isn't even a gacha game seeing how you get better demons while fusing as opposed to paying for one's with set skills you can't change.

I read on local forum, it seems that the SSR (the rarest, usually strongest unit, which requires maybe tens of hour to get) has a 0.5% chance of being summoned from the gacha. That's really low rate, the "market" rate of SSR unit is usually 3 - 6% so I guess the Jap is pissed about that?

Also, the game looks genuinely beautiful in motion. Very nice artwork for the sprites and locales.
