|
|
I'm pleased to announce that the Circle of Eight has been re-launched with a new design, and has expanded its coverage to Flagship Studios' upcoming First Person RPG/Roguelike Hellgate: London. The website's backend has been upgraded with a fully interconnected news and content hub allowing for streamlined navigation, and grants visitors full use of the website's newly integrated comment system. With this website, I hope to deliver Hellgate: London related news as it appears, and offer much in terms of content, like strategy, item, monster and character databases as they become available later on.
The Circle of Eight will of course continue to serve the Temple of Elemental Evil modification community as a central for all things TOEE, in our continued interest in Troika's RPG and new releases of content, fixes and other modifications are forthcoming. A proper resource for all things TOEE-related may very well be in the works if anyone's interested in working on it with me.
It is my intention to make the Circle of Eight a primary hub for all things related to the upcoming title. If anyone is interested in participating in the development of this website whether in regards to content related to Temple of Elemental Evil, or Hellgate: London, feel free to send me an e-mail or a private message at the RPG Codex or at the Circle of Eight. |

Well aside from the TOEE mod community (which is very much alive), there's really not much else going on on the TOEE front, and my interest in Hellgate London is, as it is, quite strong. The only logical recourse is to unite the two interests in some form or another. It's not like the TOEE main page had anything going on. When the site got hacked by those Brasilians the last time, I took down the main page and left the forums up.
Anyway, TOEE and Hellgate London are not very different beasts. They're both dungeon crawlers and Hellgate London, while in first person, is much closer to its Roguelike roots (which I'm quite fond of, to say the least) than TOEE's random loot caches. |

I saw Sol's name on there. My nanoaugmented DX senses tell me there's conspiracy behind this.
Anyways the site design looks cool. |

Hey Surlent.
My missus just had a look at your avatar and reckoned it looked like "Tom Cruise dressed as a Jedi knight".
Just thought you'd like to know. _________________ Proud leader of the Shit Games Liberation Front

Heh, I'll take that as compliment.
Did you tell her it was Perriman Smythe from Arcanum ? |

I'm not certain she would know who that is...but I'll pass it along regardless.

I'd say the majority of Sims sites came after the release of the game. Just a hunch. _________________ Walks with the Snails: You know, this is what I love about the Codex. Most people ban the trolls. Here we give them enough rope to hang themselves with and then poke them with sticks.

I still stand by my reply of Sims fan sites. Not Sims 2, but Sims. The first one. Though, I think ModTheSims2 came out after the release of the game. _________________ Walks with the Snails: You know, this is what I love about the Codex. Most people ban the trolls.
