I didn't have any idea what to draw so I just made a profile and it looked vaguely like Picard. So what the hell, Oblivion it is.

One of the great things about Sim City 4 is getting to watch a sim commute from home and work. Circ's commute is awesome because he has his own personal highway with no speed limit.
On the bottom of the screen you'll notice a box titled RCI with three bars. The green represents residential demand, blue is commerical demand, and yellow is industrial/agricultural. Above the center line means there is demand, below means there's a surplus. I've built a huge residential zone which will definitely move me to surplus.
The other bars on the bottom represent the quality of services in the city. Since this is Oblivian, most of them suck. I'm going to try to raise the health bar anyway.
You'll notice that I'm picking the most expensive available option. The first one is the most cost-efficient for a small city but the second one has a helicopter. Not a hard decision.
I am going to make it cover all three residential zones, though.
And, because we're dicks, let's put a shopping center in the middle of a farm.
And let's fly that helicopter. (obligatory GET TO THE CHOPPA)
That's my destination but passing the mission is boring. Let's do a 9-11.
And this is as far down as I can go. Stupid PC liberals. I was gonna set the farm on fire, but to actually kill people you'll have to wait until I mess around with disasters or start up Rollercoaster Tycoon.
The helicopter flies back by itself from where I quit, which is pretty cool. I expected a magic teleporting helicopter.
Here's the city after a few thousand people moved in. They don't have jobs, though, so commercial and industrial demand is up, while there's a surplus of homes so there's still empty land.
And there's that shopping center. The joys of consumerism and decadence in those uncivilized farmers' faces.

Let's switch to another city:
Unfortunately, I have to build the city to destroy it. I was hoping for a Fallout 1-style nuclear wasteland I could build around but this will be more like blowing up Megaton in Fallout 3. (but much bigger I hope)
Next time, on Sim City 4
Fallout comes under construction while Oblivian goes down the shitter some more
