Since Astromarine was worried, Black Hole Entertainment decided to reassure everyone that Warhammer: Mark of Chaos will be featured at this year's E3. To prove it, they let Gamespy, IGN, and Gamespot get a look-see at the demo they've prepared. They all saw the same thing so there's no point quoting all three, but here's IGN commenting on the hero units and the new Duel Mode.

One new and interesting thing that we learned about heroes in general is that they can be upgraded in three different areas: combat (fighting), command (formations and troop bonuses), and dueling. Dueling is a feature that is set specifically for hero units to meet in battle and then attack each other without interruption until one or the other is dead. They'll meet on the field of battle and animations commence that show their fight. Each combatant will have special abilities that can be used in dueling as well so players don't feel completely out of the loop. What it does mean is that players could potentially pump a ton of points into the dueling skill of a hero and use it as a hunter-killer on the battlefield to wipe out the most powerful units efficiently.

Read: IGN Preview, Gamespy Preview, Gamespot Preview

Also: the newly opened Warhammer: MOC site, screens at Strategy Informer

Spotted @ Shack News
