Had a lot of fun with the original back in the day, but I was easier to impress back then. The original's still available on GOG, though this remake is somewhat easier on the eyes. Since the gameplay was pretty simplistic they hopefully manage to transfer it accurately.

The original stands the test of time amazingly well and is still as much fun today as it was back then. If you're playing in hotseat, that is.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Original was a lot of fun when I played it as a kid. It also looked better in pixel graphics than in... the exact same graphic style in higher resolution. So they want to update the game to 2014 graphical standards and still keep objects as sprites rather than 3D models, but this time they're not pixellated but HD? That looks weird as fuck.

Wasn't this game greatly inferior to Mario Kart ?

I used to have fond memories of this game, mostly because I didn't own Mario Kart and the shareware version was, well, free. I do not see much point playing this right now, other than nostalgia. Better games were made, even on PC. I hear the Sega racing games are actually rather good.
