A certain amount is a given. But overall looks like a promising title.

god damn it why is the design, graphics, gameplay so nice, , and the writing so creaky? It has its moments so I hang tough, but sometimes it's just :facepalm:

the complaint is aimed at all jrpgs. i was playing 3d block hero or whatever, and it is my favorite zelda yet! Same thing, although the game pays homage to the fact that jrpg writing tends to be jibberish sometimes so I give it a pass.

I'll follow up with any thoughts for people searching this thread in the future. Just on chapter 3 so have a while to go...

I think, if you remove all! dialog, exclude women, mow down all hair on the characters and dress them in uniforms, jrpgs would even be playable.

Wait until you meet Jaeger. You'll get a strong, healthy and perfectly heterosexual desire for him to come out of the TV, push you down and tenderly ravage you anally. Such a shame that the guy has so little screen time, he's easily the best character in the game.
