Unfortunately, you need to have downloaded and created an account for Origin (EA Steam clone) to get it. Once you select it from Store/Free Games/On the House, you will have it forever (or until EA gets rid of Origin if you never backed the game up).

Edit: Origin has the free game available for a few day to a few months. It has varied widely.

You can post about stuff like that here: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...am-bargain-sale-mega-thread-of-savings.58950/
If we're stuck with posting in megathreads now, wouldn't it make some sense to at least have a separate megathread for offers of free games as opposed to deeply discounted ones?

I agree. I think that free deals would be more likely to go unnoticed since people expect to have to purchase something and it can be updated way too often since online sales happen often. Free giveaways are much more rare.

Edit: Origin has the free game available for a few day to a few months. It has varied widely. A long promotion would certainly get buried.

Step 1: Ignore Infinitrons obsession with thread merging
Step 2: Don't install Origin
