Crispy™ Star Wolves 3 help

In the game settings it lists my 1080p monitor's native resolution. However when I set this value, everything appears squished horizontally. This seems to be the case for every non-4:3 aspect ratio. Any ideas on if this can be fixed?

You can edit the configuration file in a text editor to whatever dimensions you want, but it gets reset back to the default if you mess with the settings from within the GUI.
