Since a friend of mine is working on the game, I thought I'd drop a thread here as well for an upcoming (EA 2023, Release 2024) title called Sandwalkers. The title has started its Kickstarter today, asking for $40.000, and already reached about 20% of that goal within a few hours.
Sandwalkers is a rogue-lite grid-based adventure/strategy game, with some caravan-management and party-based combat systems on top. The Devs, Goblinz Studio, already made and published a bunch of other Indie titles, the most "well-known" would probably be Legend of Keepers (obvious nod towards dungeon keeper, and the basic premise is the same).
There's a freely available Prologue of the game on steam already, so if this sounds in any way interesting to you, you migh wanna give it a try.
Beyond the strategy and sim-portions of the game, it also features turn-based party combat.
It even comes with its own dick-caravans.
Let's see how this shapes up. If there's any questions, I can try to get some answers from my friend who is working on the game. Or maybe I'll get him to post here, although I actually like the dude (even though he's french) and I'm not sure I wanna subject him to the codex.
