Games Xtreme posted a review of Sacred giving it 90%. I strongly recommmend to read the first paragraph where the guy goes on and on about his RPG background untill he finally proclaims himself a champion or an expert or both.

It’s not a genre busting game and it’s not the best thing since sliced bread, or bread that slices itself. What it is however is a damn good game with a solid slice of gameplay and a good chunk of heroic fantasy...It’s a refreshing break from the slew of D&D derived games that are here or on the way and I for one love the game to bits.

I'm not sure what D&D got to do with anything as the only logical comparison should be to Diablo 2, but I agree that Sacred is one of the best action RPGs out there and a very fun game.

The game is out in Germany. Comes out in Europe the 19th, and the 24th for North America. The North American version has no gore though, so I'd try to get the UK or German version.

Or wait three and a half days for a fan-fix for the gore. You know someone is going to do it.

Well, you know that it won't take long for someone to figure out the difference between the gore version and what's removing the gore.

It's disappointing that Encore feels the need to release the game without gore in the United States to sell it.

Its really odd, too.
A German game with gore removed for the American market.
Its utterly drawkcab.
