Atari has recently promised that the PC version of Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 will be a completely different game, compared to its mobile version.

"We can't share that much, but the PC version will definitely be a completely different game," said senior director of marketing Anthony Chien in an interview with Digital Spy. "There's a lot of diehard RC fans that want a PC experience, they want all different sorts of things.

Hoorah? At the same time though, it mentions that the PC version will be an "Online multiplayer experience," but not run through Facebook.

Because SimCity 2013 hasn't taught people anything.

I could imagine an online environment where you have to compete with other players being pretty fun (same way you could have to compete with AI parks in offline mode).
Then again, I'm 99% sure this is not what they mean with online experience... More likely it will be the same nonsense as latest "SimCity".

But while we're at wildly guessing the online experience:
Wouldn't it be nice if you could mix this with some ARPG gameplay? One player is the manager tycoon, while other players are playing maintainers, cleaners, security, zoo keepers, etc. to earn some vital bonuses (in whatever form, maybe some special in-game currency) for your own park/staff in your park. So people would love to go into certain player's parks because they know they can be a higher level cleaner there, which yields more bonuses.
I could very well imagine playing that, running around in some others player's park yelling at him for his bullshit constructions while he yells at me to "clean faster, bitch!".
