Wow, I didn't know these two existed. Just came across them. Larry Niven's "Known Space" is arguably one of the 'greats' of space opera, up there with Foundation and Dune. What is the verdict? Are they on par with Star Trek: Judgment Rites? I'm going to play them anyway, as internet reviews on games of this age are unreliable, sometimes tarnished by memory, and I love space opera world building.

I've played the first one. It's certainly not as good as Star Trek but it's decent. Puzzles are mostly straightforward and lacking moon logic. Nice MT-32 soundtrack. The graphics are nice but there were some spots where I had trouble discerning important objects and hot spots from the background. I should play the second one sometime soon...
