1. Desert Operations
Desert Operations is a strategy browsergame! Fight against thousands opponents over resources! Raise your influence on the world politic through creating allies or making war declarations. Found alliances, so you and your allied can fight against enemies! Trade with your allied and spy upon your enemies.

2. Supremacy 1914
Supremacy 1914 is a free browserbased strategy game. Up to 30 competitors battle for several weeks for control of Europe. Both, military and diplomatic skills will be essential on your road to victory! No tables like in 95% of all browser games.

3. Army Commander
Army commander is an empire based game of strategy and thought. As leader of a newly founded country, your goal is to ultimately become supreme to all others. Using everything from diplomacy to war, you must strive to build an empire, both economically and militarily, superior to all others. Through this all, you will compete against thousands of other players all dying to achieve the same goals. The only way you will succeed in achieving greatness will be through working with others and convincing them to help you get to where you want to be.

The game uses a turnbased system. Every 20 min you will receive 1 turn. The turns are used for almost every action in the game. For example: If you want to attack another country, you will need turns for the action. If you do not have enough turns then just wait until you have accumulated enough turns. You are not required to be logged on to accumulate turns. The system will recognize your country's name and will automatically calculate the time since your last visit on the site and calculate turns available.

Unfortunately 99,99% of online 'strategy' games is shit based on who sleeps less and has nothing in common with strategy.

From presented examples S1914 encourages 'donations' which in turn can very well change the course of the game...

I used to play this text game called Newkingdoms

The premise of the game was you ran a country and got 7 turns per day. You'd generate an income from various things, such as taxes, tourism, industry and you could spend your money on land, army, bonds and stocks. There were also stats for your nation such as foreign approval, pollution, corruption, morale, etc. And of course there were options for war, trade and espionage with other players. There was just an overall large amount of content in the game, it was very good and beats most 'real' games of the same type. The community was very small especially at first, as the owner didn't advertise and wasn't interested in getting money or hits, he was just some guy in his 20's doing it for fun.

Sadly the site got hacked and was even deemed malicous on google search. The owner didn't feel like dealing with it, since it was only a hobby and he'd been losing interest anyways, so he took it down. Very sad day.
