I caught fire while I wanted to burn a peasant woman alive. She didn't have any more eyes and I broke her arms and legs, left her lying there helplessly, set fire to the landscape around her, and caught fire myself.

Is this game as deep as people are saying it is?

I'm currently playing only in Adventure Mode so what can I say. It's a nice open-world hack'n'slash with TB-styled combat and if you liked all those battle statistics in Fallout you will love them here. Though world is not reacting to your deeds too much. But I like the game this far though it will be hard for you to understand everything at first (though with mayday's tileset game already looks like some rpg from the end of the 80s and not like some ascii mess).
Yep - it's definitely worth a try if you're starving to spend some time on a quality hack'n'slasher (or better to say rogue-like).
