I hope the gameplay is superb, because this doesn't inspire much confidence:

You can freely create your character sprites when you do create your characters.

Though armor and weapons do show on their sprite you are free to disable it as well from the options menu. :)

Do check the Let's Play by Old Woman to see more about the game and the art style for different elements (menus, custom character, NPCs, monsters, and dungeons).

I maintain that Grimrock was one of the best games of 2012, and one of the best CRPGS in a long time. It was definitely not perfect, but the dungeon crawling was pretty slick to me. An improved sequel rather than a straight expansion can only be a good thing to me.

LoG = a good game. Good for what it is - a game put together by some dudes instead of some big name game studio which would have turned the game into cinematic-mania land with quick time events and reg. health. The combat's a little bit too clunky for my taste, yes. and the steampunk-stuff came a little bit from out of the left field. But: good for what it is.

Not interested unless:
1. Smooth scrolling at least as an option.
2. Turn based. How can you have a combat oriented game with real time combat?

Not interested unless they make a game in a completely different genre, good advice.

PS I don't mind turn based combat, but smooth movement in a dungeon crawler is a travesty

Fuck anime faggotry and anyone who finds it acceptable. They should be scourged from the planet.

That's like asking someone why they like chocolate ice cream.

I have no problem anyone liking LoG. The problem is in being told that everything was alright with it and should not be changed. At least evdk is agreeing that the Strafing was too much. I have more issues of course.

Well there is Charles' Sovereign, that's about the only M&M clone you are going to be seeing.
