<strong>[ Game -> Review ]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://www.tacticularcancer.com/wikitacticular/index.php?title=Civilization IV">Game: Civilization IV</a>

<p><a href="http://www.houstonvehicles.com/" target="_self">Houston Vehicles Online Devoted Gamers</a> (yeah, that's what I thought) have <a href="http://www.houstonvehicles.com/content/view/392/38/" target="_self">put up a review on Civilization IV</a>:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>In the interest of giving a completely honest review, Ill start by
telling you my first impressions from the time I received the box in
the mail. After much dancing, happiness, and jubilation upon receiving
the game, I opened the shiny gold box and slid out the manual that
rivals most college text books, eager to read through the mass of
information and new cool features this game will offer over past
Civilization games. Of course, being the type of gamer I am, the manual
began to bore me after the first page or so, and I jumped to installing
the game, figuring the tutorial would tell me everything I really need
to know anyway.</p>
<p>That's when things started to go horribly, terribly wrong.</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Once he gets over the installation issues though (which have since
been patched), it's all smooth sailing. In the end he gives it a 4 out
of 5 which I guess means "it doesn't suck" and "you should probably buy
it". They even like the Pirates! graphics.

Wasn't the installation issue just the CDs being mislabeled?

I'm not surprised that him "being a type of gamer that he is" got stumped by that.
