Increasing CP2077 difficulty - mods/conducts?

I've finished CP2077 twice, once on release and another time on patch 1.5.

I'm kind of itching to replay it, but I feel like I'm kind of an expert on the game play.

Are there mods/mod packs that increase the challenge somehow? Has anyone played with some conduct limitations that they found interesting, like ghost/don't kill anyone, no $, or something more esoteric.

Amuse me with ideas. I would of course turn the HUD off in any case.

CDPR was actually working on a Survival/Hardcore mode (obviously intended or why is there an ingame clock?) but it was cut when the publisher forced them to release two years early. It may ship with Phantom Liberty

I don't think difficulty is an issue if you play a combat character. I played through it as a gunslinger, no hacking stuff, very slight augments, on hardest difficulty, and it was just about right.

Of course if you go with a heavily hacking/augmented build, I can see the game quickly becoming broken, but that's pretty common in these types of games.

Play a gunslinger.

Hard is the maximum difficulty you want to play on. The point of 2077 is that you start out as a chump but become as powerful as Johnny was in the Arasaka flashback, so the gameplay is consonant with the theme of him taking over your body. One of the coolest moments for me was when I started wearing a bulletproof vest to increase my armor and reload speed only to realize that was why Keanu was wearing one too.

Narratively, Very Hard has the same problem Halo does where on Legendary you're a seven foot-tall cyborg supersoldier who dies to a small breeze. Quickhacks are broken, but it would be more stupid if they weren't, because it's a cyberpunk game.

Knowing CDPR's spaghetti code, I assume Phantom Liberty will break existing mods, so you're probably better off waiting for it to release and then installing stuff like like Live In Night City.
