Actually there are merchants..and you protect or attack them.

I watched all the movies and read about it and everything and it basically stops responding when "Confirm"ing the creation of a character.

Here's a secret: the only fun to be had in MMOs is griefing, scamming (see ultima online) or... giant guild PvP which was excellent in Planetside before they introduced the caverns/giant robots.

If there are no ways to grief or scam people, the game is just another level grinder NO MATTER WHAT. That's not to say that a level grinder can't be fun, but it has to include ways to scam or grief.

Just reading the descriptions on the main site and the character creation screen provided me with hours of entertainment. Hopefully I'll be able to play soon!
