I just remembered this game and want to give it a real spin (at the time of release it would barely run on my machine) and I've read very differing opinions about its difficulty and fun levels.

So, for a first timer would you recommend Destination Paris? It supposedly adds more abilities, items and enemies and even turns the game into a bit of a RPG. Does it have its own diff levels?

I'm in the mood for some WWII action and would love to squeeze out the optimal experience out of this.

No Commandos 2 is a fine game as it is. Just load it up and enjoy. One of the best WWII themed games that exist.
