I am not too hopeful but figured if anyone would know....

I really loved that little game, but it really has some annoying quirks. Such as the ships not keeping track of who their passengers are and the TINY upper limit for units. I would always cap out long, long before I was ready to declare the revolution - though the revolution was so easy I could probably have declared much sooner.

Ah, Colonisation. I still have it installed and play it once in a while. Great, great game although the combat sucks. FreeCol makes only slowly progress but it looks promising so far. Thanks for the SweCol2 link.

FreeCol is pretty good. Nothing special and nothing new that I could see apart from graphics.
