Unreal Engine 5-based looks pretty good.
I liked the first game during the closed beta before they ruined it with their pay2win bullshit business model. Hopefully the monetization is better this time around :^)

Kakao publishing, will need it to be a success in the West after they lost their Black Desert Online cash cow.

Going to be a disaster area. Unreal Engine is apparently utterly unfit for MMOs as the networking architecture is totally insecure.

The last MMO I played using UE was just fine. I don't think there's anything keeping them from using a custom solution.

Yes, but keep in mind: The ORIGINAL ArcheAge was ALREADY a disaster for its security problems. Given that they committed numerous fouls in the field of MMO development that someone with even a cursory understanding of these kinds of things wouldn't have done, it's very unlikely things will have improved: Obviously they're just going for a lazy off-the-shelf solution...that will contain all of the problems.

Given the disaster that was the first game's monetization, I'm not hopeful for the sequel's either.
