I watched a LP of this game so I wasn't able to notice such flaws. Nevertheless, the story was intriguing and appropriately cheesy. So worth a watch if you don't want to play it, I guess.

Yeah, the gameplay of this game is terrible. Probably the worse case of pixel-hunting I've ever encountered. Other games maybe have one, or two notorious pixel-hunting moments. This game has them in almost every screen. And indeed, the UI is clunky as hell.

Story-wise it seems like decent b-movie stuff and it's a beautiful game, so as lightbane said it's probably best to watch a LP. That's what I might do too, I've also dropped it midway due to frustration.

There were some deadends in the original version, which they fixed for the updated version. I remember Noctropolis getting a very good review in the Finnish gaming magazine at the time, gave the atmosphere etc a lot of praise from what I remember.
