Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
It's not Heroes of Might and Magic, it's King's Bounty.

KB was the predecessor to M&M. You play one hero who recruits units and goes on adventures. No city building.
King's Bounty: The Legend is a spiritual successor to the original, following the same gameplay formula.

The Legend is pretty good, Armored Princess/Crossworlds is even better. Dark Side and Warrios of the North are more of the same but done less competently.

They are quite fun in bursts, but also the kind of games that can seem really great for like 5-10h and then you don't want to see them again. Similar story to other sp-only romps that use parts of the homm formula, like disciples or etherlords: fun core gameplay that gets too repetitive at some point, but there's no multi or fun custom scenarios to carry it. Contrary to a lot of people, I'm also really not too keen on the aesthetics of nu-kb. They just look like a mixture of 3d warcraft art style and typical "russian game from first decade of xxi century". At least they relaxed with the bloom.
