rpgcodex > I have come to realize this place is filled with degenerates anyway. Not one, but multiple mentally ill people just allowed to run free without oversight.

I just naturally assume anybody with a female avatar is a woman.

Not because they are a woman, but because I want to pretend the internet isn't a giant wiener fest devoid of hot chicks.

Even though it is.

I faced this dilemma yesterday. I decided to use "sir" anyway, but it seems Eyler is actually a woman, according to her (?!) steam account.

Community managers tend to be women these days.

This kind of behavior shouldn't be encouraged.

Eyler possibly being an actual female (TITS OR GTFO) wasn't the point. The point is, if you're unsure of the gender, you default to HE (H E), not "they". "They" is a disgusting and vile Current Yearism which should be nuked from orbit and, in the event, never used.

YOU HEAR ME TYRANICON?! H E spells HE.

Bruh, "they" is a word that can be traced back to old norse and I'll be damned if I let current culture war shit stop me from using it. It's the perfect word for describing some unknown creature over the internet.

Don't let the internet fuck with your brain too much.

No, for that we have the word "it". Your etymology is powerless against the everchanging face of language.

You wouldn't call someone an "it" to their face in the real world, so I wouldn't here either. I'm a miserable old fuck on a rpg website, but there's still some standards of being a gentleman.

As I've said before, the number of biological women on this forum is underestimated and the number of transgenders is overestimated. It's true that women don't like RPGs as much as men, but they're still 50% of the human population. If there's a poster who seems to be acting like a girl, chances are she is one.
