You have Irish ancestors, Rusty?

You are right rusty, workers should unionize and fight this rotten charity system. Once again, you are standing strong against the storm, proudly weaving the flag of socialism here on the Codex. :salute:

I have no issue with unions as long as they aren't subversive. Current US unions openly support mass migration and undermine workers rights.

The feds made good work of destroying the unions, so there's that.

Of course you have no issue with unions, my socialist brother. Come here and give me a fraternal hug!

almost like there's a way socialism can be repurposed to serve my nation... a form of nationalism and socialism together...

unions are a part of a free market btw

The UK in the 60s/70s is a great example of what happens when unions get too much power.

The unions could halt the country in its tracks whenever the workers decided they wanted a raise or extra benefits, and the govt was held to ransom to give them whatever they wanted.

But not of the abomination led by tech multinationals that we are facing right now and that someone somehow insists on calling "free market"

Unions are a part of class struggle.*

I dislike the idea of a union having a single leader or non-elected leadership roles.
NJClaw

Tacgnol I guess I'd take that over the dystopia we are currently living in

As one of the historic leaders of our Socialist Party used to say: better to be wrong while fighting for the workers, than to be right while fighting against them
rusty_shackleford
rusty_shackleford
socialists are very rarely actually fighting for workers but being used as pawns against them

I find Americans' stance on socialism hilarious.

"Yeah, the government constantly lies to us and we should never trust what the education system tells us. But socialism? No, they wouldn't lie about that!"

You needed a common enemy, but that's all in the past now. It's time to grow up.

To paraphrase a famous saying, every 'Murrican worker imagines himself to be a future capitalist. There's no socialist mass movement to be had in 'Murrica, only different flavors of neoliberalism.

But after all Capitalism gave me La La Land, I can't complain THAT much

Also rusty play Dark Souls it's good

socialism is the government, and dark souls is bad
