Yes, but we call it "cotoletta", "cotoletta alla milanese" or, sometimes, "milanese" (that just means "from Milan" ) . Usually, outside of places where it's regarded as a typical dish, we consider it a "child's meal" (not because it's childish or anything, but usually kids love it).

The superior recipe, however, is the Bolognese variant (it's more than a simple variant, but they share enough similarities), which we call "cotoletta alla bolognese". It's not commonly known in all parts of Italy, but, when made by someone who knows what they are doing, it's so fucking good. Basically, it's a cotoletta with some prosciutto crudo and parmesan.

(if you feel dirty, you can add cream, but that can be seen as blasphemy; if you feel chic, you can add some truffle).


We also have other variations with ham and tomato sauce, particularly common in Southern Italy.
