Too add another layer of complexity, a persons genetics and lifestyle play a huge role in the way their metabolism breaks down certain kinds of foods; and whether or not going on a caloric deficit will actually harm a persons metabolism and overall weight, versus improving it.

Oh, and drinking fruit juices (actual juices made from the fruit, like squeezed oranges/smoothies) is actually really fucking bad for you (in terms of weight loss). The process of changing the fruit into a liquid through blending or squeezing actually does more than you'd think; and should be avoided if trying to lose weight.

as to the rest, for the majority of ppl it pretty much is as simple as keeping a mild caloric deficit provided you're eating reasonably clean, not absolute trash. 'dont eat garbage' shouldn't need to be said outright, if someone can't guess that theyre too retarded to be thin. as for harming metabolism, if you're keeping the deficit mild and not retardoextreme, that's not gonna happen to 99.99999% of ppl

Circuit, do you know the actual Chemistry behind why that's the case? As for Cool name there were people in the chat who were asking the difference between KCal's and Cals and were confused about the issue. Apparently the issue was clarified, but that's only a minor point.

Your point regarding "eating like garbage" isn't as simple as you make it seem; and though this might seem like a minor point, it truly does matter when it comes to any sport that relies on making a weight class, or if you want to get absolutely shredded. There are many people that react differently to Carbs vs Protein vs Fat, and often times they're reacting to food that people would normally call healthy.

What I'm sperging out about is people talking in vague generalities and badly over simplifying a topic that is much more nuanced than people make it out to be. The only reason not to drink natural juices is their acidic nature, they can give you gastric ulcer or just fuck up your stomach hard if consumed mindlessly.

The process of changing a substance from a solid to a liquid makes it much easier for your body to access the carbohydrates, sugars, and calories present in these sugars. When you blend a fruit, it literally destroys the fiber in it (fiber = carb that can't be digested). This in turn increases the total amount of calories, carbs, and sugars you're ingesting.
