Wyrmlord aren't you in Europe proper rather than UK? Also if you are facing racism at work complain immediately to HR, and try to do it via email as well as verbally (so there is proof). They will take action.

I have never faced racism in Spain. Spain has none of the political correctness of the UK, yet foreigners here are much happier here than there. Go figure!
