Yeah, I was interested in this but I'm not paying $11 for a 2 hour rpgmaker game. I'm sure that guy put a lot of work into it or whatever but at that point just bite the bullet and release your passion project for free, maybe people will actually appreciate it.

Very cool art and idea. Too bad it's so short. That's just too short for anything that's supposed to be an RPG - the pleasure of which is often tied to a sense of character progression.

I decided to take one for the team and purchased the game. So far it's pretty funny with hilariously archaic but witty dialogue sometimes reminescent of Monthy Python and the Holy Grail.

The setup is suspiciously familar: Pavel, a failed knight who after getting abandoned by his wife started drinking way too much gets a chance from his lord to redeem himself by investigating a mysterious murder. In his efforts he's supported by Kim Kitsuragi Matej, a monk from the castle's chapel, who serves Pavel as a pillar of stability and common sense. And a bulwark against his numerous vices.

Good knews: there is combat. Also the pixelart is very stylish. Going to play more tomorrow.

A fair amount of the reviews have between 5-9 hours of play. I would be curious to know your total playtime as well as if there is any replayability.

An oasis of love and friendship.
Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
games on steam tend to go on sale, y'know
Yup. Those sales are excellent for buying AAA games cheap a few years after release, with all patches and dlcs.

I like to pay good money to indie devs though.
my comment was more so directed to the people complaining that the game is short and thus "not worth it"

I completed the game after 4,5 hours. Perhaps I missed a quest or two but nevertheless, it was a short affair. There are ending slides that you can influence through your choices but there is only one ending for the main PC, drunk knight Pali and his estranged wife.

The story was interesting and some combats were challenging, at least on the first try, though you usually have enough resources to brute force them. Some more powerful combat items are very limited though so it's best to hold on to them until the few final boss fights.

The art direction was excellent. The creator of Felvidek knew exactly what he was going for and he achieved this with great success.

I had my fun and certainly don't regret those 10 euros. But if approximately 5 hours of gameplay is not enough for you, don't try it.

Condemned 2 had the best drunk protagonist. Ethan I think his name was? That guy knew how to slam liqour and kick ass. Even took down a giant rabid grizzly bear. God I miss that game.

Game looks terrible btw. Artstyle is all over the place, nothing meshes together. It's like a combination of dog asshole PSX graphics, SNES graphics, and what I can only assume are early PC style graphics trying to mimmick first person shit like DOOM and early Elder Scrolls? It looks like a bunch of people took turns vomiting, pissing, and shitting into a bucket. And it's only a few hours long. How nice.

Looks way better than my games in the same engine and seems much more successful too, but I guess that's not a high bar :smug:

I might buy this because I'm interested in a professional way, but the combat style is not my cup of tea.

Congrats to the team/dev.

Best drunk protagonist and you don't even remember his name? LOL.

Besides, that's not even a contest. There can be only one:

Felvidek is certainly more consistent in its art choices. Everything is thought out: the backgrounds, characters, color palette. Even Tlthe cutscenes made in early 3d style of 1995-6 are sort of endearing, like the works of naïve painters.

However you've got better looking gals in your games and for ones with erotic content, that's of paramount importance :)

Don't know anything about Felvidek's sales, the author wrote on Steam the early demo got approx 3000 downloads, but that's all we know at this point.

Yes, there's no positioning and tactical layer is limited, but the dev did what he could to make typical jrpg combat more dynamic, with cool attack animations.
Congrats to the team/dev.

Certainly, it's a pretty well thought out game, and a big achievement for a solodev.

I've also finished it. It's quite short and gameplay has nothing worth mentioning, combat is boring early on and a cakewalk later, but like Potato said, the art direction is downright excellent, the story is fun and witty, and the soundtrack is very cool, so the experience as a whole is actually pretty good. The 3d cutscenes heal my soul, they are very charming.
