  1. Is it me, or does one usually end up rich at the end ?

I think the best solution is to give chars things to spend the money on. In magical setting, forgin armory is a good way, like you have no limit on how much you can enchant or empower up your weapon but make it exponentially more expensive. By that way make the best spells cost ridicously high...
  2. Dark Sun Series

I played DS more than any other rpg game, i love the interface. I impose rules on myself because the game has so many broken stuff that with it its impossible. Fighter/Gladiator/Ranger: Dual wielding is broken. There are no penalties So if you dual wield you do insane amounts of damage. Half...
  3. KOTC IS BRO APPROVED

I did many runs (8 or 9?, they are in the thread of the knights of the chalice forums) in ironman with the 1 use per campfire and no crafting. All failed. Without a Knight, the early game is really hard if you dont craft. The farther I got was with one knight in the caves. I guess with...
  4. KOTC IS BRO APPROVED

Also if you dont play with scribe scrolls or any kind of crafting like im doing now. And you dont use campfires more than one time (or at least in the places where there isnt campfire) Knights are great. But with scribe scrolls, yeah sure, knights are terrible compared to both clerics and wizards.
  5. KOTC IS BRO APPROVED

I disagree its a reload fest, I did it on my first and only attempt. I abused scribe scroll though. What I did was in my team of 1 knight, 2 clerics and 1 wizard (all with cloaks of resistance fwiw). I sent a Cleric to the back, and the other 3 team to fight in front, everytime someone died...
  6. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

There are this mountain of pillows to that I luckily realize that i could search them so after I saw one I just did backtrack to look for any mountain of pillows i may missed, same with piles of straws. I couldnt say way as I couldnt play more than 20 minutes of baldur gate before quitting it...
  7. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

I just opened the game once again, and play over a few sections, and 100% sure that if I show several screenshots at different times with different items on the floor, 90% of the population will be unable to say which items will appear in the inventory once I Open it. Maybe I should take...
  8. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

Here is a review of Avadon demo: i know that my english is bad and I generally do reviews for a forum where they like my reviews despite my bad english, I just decided to post it here, because all the talking about it. Avadon is an Isometric RPG, where you talk with people, they send you on...
  9. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

Im playing the game now and The first thing that annoys me to no end, and I dont know why anybody didnt brought up is how you have to be pressing G every few meters to see if there is anything of interest, or worse check the items to make sure they are of no interest. It seems a gigantic...
  10. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

Some of his comments on Voguel's blog are sad and obviously untrue. Like games cant and should be exciting from the start or epic. Or that they should not be challenging from the start? I just saw Praise from KOTC about being challenging from the start. There are many comments about this...
  11. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

Yes, And I know this very well because I have the issue of being unable to enjoy games, specially RPG, If i dont find any kind of challenge. As I did in KOTC (and you can watch the ironman challenge) I have to build challenges to be able to enjoy the game. And sometimes even trying to make a...
  12. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

In none of the games I mentioned you need any mod to have access to a resting place during 90-95% of the game. So im not sure what we are talking about here. Same here, but thats the situation on most of these games. I cant agree here, infinity engine games , you can just bombard/rest through...
  13. Avadon is here for windows (kinda)

I didnt play the game, Having said that im shocked at people complaining about NO CHALLENGE, And more important about how it restores all your HP And MP after the battles. Then come to name Avernum/geneforge and Icewind dale. Those games had challenge? Both games have the same problem...
  14. Knights of the Chalice on Ironman - the ultimate challenge

I thnk its not impossible as im learning a lot and improving the 7th team, of 1 knight 2 clerics and 1 wizard, got to the queen of spiders with only using corinth and keep campfire, And the lose was because I spent my last 2nd level cleric spell on a restoration thinking that it would remove the...
  15. So what are some intelligent ways to replace leveling?

I like how wonderboy 3, the dragons trap do it.
