  1. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

Ah, I was referring to Galdred's post, not yours. It seemed like he was saying the AI in Genesis was broken as well. Sorry about the confusion. I would definitely want an AI that could kick my ass at the appropriate skill level. I don't even care if it's via 'cheats' (i.e. pure bonuses)...
  2. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

So AI aggression was even a problem in Genesis? Bleh... I hope they at least fix it in Broken World. If only at the higher difficulty levels.
  3. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

Does the AI actually ever declare war? (Except for when it's just 2 players left on the map.) It feels a bit strange that everyone's pretty much always at peace, and the only time a war is declared is when I personally declare it.
  4. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

The AI turns are gradually getting faster and faster each patch now it seems. I had an old save game where the turns took over 30s each and they're only taking 15s after today's patch. That's some pretty significant optimization boost right there, although I'd love to see things get even faster...
  5. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

I'm noticing a huge AI turn boost on a medium 1v1 map. Up to turn 170 and they're only taking around 8-10 seconds each. I haven't even invaded the enemy AI yet (just to see how long the turns are with him at 'full strength'). So at least there seems to be a nice boost for medium maps with one...
  6. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

The first one is great, especially if the difference is quite noticeable. Hopefully the second one will result in the AI having an easier time of 'breaking out' on some maps.
  7. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

Did the AI turns get any faster in this last patch? That's basically the major issue I've had with the game so far.
  8. Masters of the Broken World (Eador 2)

The more turns you spend on a shard, the longer the AI takes in finishing its turns. I finally hit a point where it took almost 30 seconds just to wait for the AI. It reminds me of playing Battle Isle 3 on a crap computer back in the day. I'm guessing this is just down to horrendous...
  9. Distant Worlds (with expansions)

How strong is the AI in Distant Worlds? Is it challenging to new players? Can it be set to be interesting even to veterans of the game?
  10. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

I was just looking at the colours, I suppose. It's as if I was suddenly seeing a whole lot more of them and it seemed really nice. But I am no expert when it comes to these kind of things. As far as the mod goes, you can fine tune the settings yourself it seems. At least that's what I...
  11. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

I'm not sure if this is noticeable to everyone, but at least on my IPS monitor the difference in the colours is absolutely astounding. After seeing both versions side by side, without the mod the world seems incredibly... washed out? I'm not sure which terms to use. My English sucks. <.<...
  12. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

This is the reason I won't even pick the game up for a few months. It's a new game. It's a huge game. Experience tells me that it's bound to be filled with bugs and other annoying issues that will dent the entertainment value I'll be getting out of it. Plus... in a few months there will...
  13. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

People don't have to love a game to play it. It's like with books, if you are a big reader like myself, then by the time you're just 20 it's almost impossible to find a book that blows you away any more. It doesn't mean I stop reading books altogether once I realize they don't they live up to...
  14. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

If you read this thread you'll find several people saying Skyrim sucks, you'll find several people saying that it's not terrible, a few people saying it's OK, another few saying that it's decent, a couple saying that it's good and one person saying that it's 'potentially great'. Then you got...
  15. sea's (Mostly Technical) Skyrim Initial Impressions

An interesting tidbit, 'Draugr' actually means 'Ghost' in Icelandic. (the modern day spelling being 'Draugur') ... if 'Draugr' is what you were referring to. :>
