  1. People who liked EVN.. Check out BetaBlocker

How does Beta Blocker improve on EV Nova? I like the fact that it's 3d, the ships and backgrounds look bigger than in Nova, and that it's free (so far). Anything else?
  2. Heard of Riftspace?

http://starfighter.home.att.net/game_features.htm Anyone heard things about this game, or better, played it? I find the mercenary-team management aspect very appealing, and I also like the fact that you can still trade, so it's not purely based on killing. I think I'll give the demo a whirl.
  3. Would you play a single-player text-based RPG?

Darklands wasn't strictly text-based, but it made good use of that element and is a darn fun game.
  4. Would you play a single-player text-based RPG?

Yes, I would. I used to enjoy MUDS, but I was driven away by the horrendous level treadmills and the stupid people playing. Eliminate those two elements and I would definitely play a text-based, single-player MUD-like RPG.
  5. Company News Bethesda to offer free download of The Elder Scrolls: Arena

I enjoy Daggerfall a lot, and like I've said before, the plugins save Morrowind from suckage.
  6. Editorial PCGamer: Galaxies is a better RPG then KOTOR

I think the amount of roleplaying present in a game would depend on what you want to roleplay.
  7. Development Info New Game! Getica: Cult of the Elders

Aerelorn's Advanced Combat plugin improves the fighting considerably. It may be a ripoff, but the mod even adds bullet-time! :)
  8. Making a game

Even Fallout had a good guy or two...
  9. The Unreal World

    Notrium is far more simplistic.
  10. The Unreal World

I downloaded the demo, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I fought nothing, but had an almost absurd amount of fun just wandering around, fishing, and collecting twigs. Unfortunately it screws up my Windows XP system, and therefore I haven't been able to play enough to get a real impression...
  11. Game News Next stop Godhood - Beyond Divinity demo online

How would you guys compare it to Divine Divinity?
  12. Making a game

That's a wonderful idea! I wonder if there are any mods like that for Morrowind...
  13. Review First Sacred review: 8.7

I'ma bit disappointed that the history is not necessarily novel hoarfrost. Oh well...at lesat there are plenty of Nebenquests to keep us occupied.
  14. Preview GameSpot tells you all about Beyond Divinity

I hear they've sobered it up a bit, with fewer enemies and less hectic combat. I expect it will still be action-packed, though. Thankfully, the skills and the Death Knight look to make it a less twitchy experience.
  15. Review HotU is AWSOME! says Kenston High School

I don't doubt that the majority of high school students are possessed of the most abysmal writing skills, but they shouldn't be on the school newspaper. Even the mediocre publication at my own school knows about the pesky 'silent e'. I don't blame the kid for that idiotic article, but it's...
