  1. Codex Interview RPG Codex Interview: Sérgio Gil on Project Haven

Working on it, I truly cannot give you a date as we're very iterative in our development. We develop some stuff, run a Demo with those changes, then from the feedback we move forward. Just for the current Demo we spent a few weeks reworking our whole cover system due to feedback. It's not...
  2. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

We didn't want percentages. So we could do what JA3 does, just no information at all, or we have 3rd person aiming with a reticle that allows you to gauge how likely you are to hit just like in shooter games. Also with a gun like a shotgun you can place multiple targets inside the reticle and...
  3. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Oh absolutely, I'm not suggesting we're re-creating JA2 style, I'm saying it's stupid, and we like stupid things, so we did something stupid  Not for everyone for sure, arguably not even the best choice for this game, but that's ok. We're keeping it fairly contained and optional. Yah I'm...
  4. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Hey all! Appreciate all the feedback! Edgy dialogue is a hit or miss, some people love it others hate it, just like profanity, we're adding a option to just keep dry/informative barks ("Reloading..", "Out of ammo!"). You'll still have to deal with haxx0r_chick_37 in cutscenes though, but those...
  5. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

We recently announced a bit of a delay to 2023, just need a some more time to make sure everything is up to par.
  6. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

We'll do a closed beta to iron out any remaining issues, then straight to release, no EA. I think you've cemented your slot in the CB :P
  7. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

That's some high praise! Appreciate it! Yah just changing missions between Demos to keep it fresh. Melee weapons will indeed be added! Yah Interrupt is pretty good at the moment, though I'm counting on making the AI a bit smarter about interrupts and use more flanking and grenades to counter...
  8. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Already there, SHIFT 1+3 Will add! There's a setting in the options for it, clicking twice to center isn't working though. Thanks!
  9. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

It was not, it switched automatically to turn-based when you saw an enemy. And back to free mode when you went back to undetected state. No control whatsoever.
  10. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

There was a bug in the initial release that got you stuck in Turn-Based mode, but it's new with this Demo. Just fixed it this patch so it actually works as intended. I took it personally when you said you weren't a fan of our stealth mechanics and made it my sole mission in life to make it fun...
  11. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

What a bunch of cheating AI! Will fix! Currently interrupt is always triggered, and you can only interrupt an enemy once (per character/per turn), so if you skip the interrupt that's it for that pair of interrupter/enemy for that turn. Would you prefer it to be a chance?
  12. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Fixed! New patch also includes a new mission if you'd like to give that a shot! :salute:
  13. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Ahah, so true. But you gotta do what you gotta do to get your game on IGN's channel lol. And yah you'll be able to disable kill cams!

  15. Project Haven - dystopian tactical RPG where you lead mercenary company striving for survival

Yep! That's exactly our future plans, ideally along with a character creator. Game's built with UE4 though, so anyone can create campaign/missions right from release. Don't look at our latest trailer then  We do have bosses, but are defeated the same way other enemies, with strategy and...
