  1. Review RPG Codex Review: Darth Roxor on Disappointment, thy name is Pillars of Eternity

Someone should do a "fairer" comparison between PoE, Divinity: OS and Wasteland2. Were we REALLY expecting this to be better than BG2, or for Numenera to be better than Planescape???
  2. [Poll] Did anyone finish Divinity: Original Sin?

Oops -- crypt lice; but they might as well have been rats for what little difference it would have made. My fuzzy memory of the encounters only emphasize my boredom. On topic: I liked the way D:OS used action points and distance without the need for a grid.
  3. [Poll] Did anyone finish Divinity: Original Sin?

Like Metro I found Blackguard boring. Smacking rats for low damage and low chances to hit is hardly what I'd call good tactical combat, despite the designers good intentions. Heck I find the combat in the Banner Saga superior. More complex stats do not necessarily equate to a better overall...
  4. [Poll] Did anyone finish Divinity: Original Sin?

Too long for what it is. Exploration is fun but main story drags and the level 19 spells are relatively useless and many puzzles are a bore. Final boss fight was a breeze. Still one of the best combat in an rpg to be released in recent years but I can see much potential for improvement in the...
  5. [POLL] Let's settle this - did you buy Dragon Age: Inquisition?

I'm glad we're once again living in an age where we don't have to settle for sub-par rpgs due to lack of alternatives. We gobbled up DA: O because there was barely anything else worth playing at that time.
  6. Any RPGs that explore the theme of reincarnation?

Dark souls, but you have to read most of the item descriptions to piece together the whole thing, which is cool in its own way.

Only 1 to poland? I thought we were potato central?
  8. Divinity Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

Unlocked the camera and am way happier with it. I can see the advantages of 3D for spells/weapons that have arcing fire; teleport etc, but I'm still not sure if I would prefer it to 2D iso (ToEE and Jagged 2 being the benchmark). I guess we'll have a new comparison when PoE is finally released.
  9. Divinity Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

Funny thing is when you click on it the game recommends against unlocking the camera.
  10. Divinity Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

So about 10 hours into the game; combat is great -- why on earth is it in full 3d? Camera can't rotate fully which makes it impossible to click on things sometimes. Still think they should have had something closer to ToEE is terms of the 'camera'.
  11. Torment How to replay Torment?

'Romanced' Grace in first play through. Anna in second. Tried Ravel in second but the whole tusk thing didn't work out. Maybe if I get her to morph into the lady of pain ... (Bioware sequel?)
