    They can't confirm Dragon Age 4 because of EA bureaucracy, basically. "A game only exists when it's announced", but they've been hinting pretty hard that this is pretty much the next main entry of the series. It just hasn't been announced yet.

    The main problem regarding Obsidian's purchase is that they don't have a proper IP. Right now they have Pillars and Tyranny (and I'm not sure Tyranny would support a series), but I guess they're too niche for a bigger publisher.

    I don't know if I'm reading it right, but it seems like a Jade Empire sequel that almost happened was set in the modern world with no ties to the first one. Maybe like in the Final Fantasy series. That's interesting. Thought I really liked the world in JE.
