Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

If you use Discord and like help to complete that dungeon, we do have a discord channel for hints, here: https://discord.gg/zDzzFG9 just because offering to help people here seems a bit like stalking on my part :)

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

I love GOG too, but AoS will not be there for the time being, sorry: there are no plans in that direction; while we are thankful for the wishlists on that store, they are - simply put - too few to justify the work and management required at the moment. But, if the concern is only in regards of a...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Aeon of Sands is one and half years old, and today reaches v1.5! https://store.steampowered.com/app/907820/Aeon_of_Sands__The_Trail/ If you've finished the game at least once by reaching one of the three possible endings and start the game all over again, you can now choose to skip the...

    Original settings in RPG game

The Legacy: Realm of Terror, Realms of the Haunting, Robinson's Requiem, Elvira 1 and 2, Waxworks, Thunderscape, and The Stone Prophet, and the aforementioned Albion and Perihelion, from the top of my head.

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Speaking of price, we just reduced the base price of Aeon of Sands, and released a new DEMO, covering up to one third of the game! :D https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/907820/view/2105937327560872409

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

I toyed a little with the idea of adding Steam collectible cards, mostly because we were requested; but we tanked the idea: supporting the odd collectibles system of Steam would have been time consuming and added nothing to the game. So yesterday I was left with four pulp style illustrations...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

It's ok not to like it. Breaking the 4th wall, regardless, is a plot device as any other, and with a > 2.000 years long tradition, that has nothing to do with trying to be clever. That said, it's fun that AoS is accused of using it "all the time" (which would imply a structural use of the...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Ok, why? Aside the fact that it happens in the intro, - for good reasons: as a way to convey directly the basics of the way you can play the game, - a part that you could skip entirely, and in a couple of other intentionally surreal dialogues, among >150, so, basically in a very small part of...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Hey mate, I respect anybody's opinion on the game, even these; but for the sake of fairness, I would like to address a few inaccuracies that go around since that video and other released at the same time. The version played by Sinatar was 1.0 or thereabout, and the game has been updated many...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Yeah, we did an interview with him (I was terrible, sleep deprivation and bad audio), he's a great guy and and was a really nice chat, regardless my condition at the time. That's very nice, thank you! :D And that's a good advice. AoS, due to all graphic being bitmap and we trying to have...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

To you (few but dear) guys marking with despair the news that the game will not have sequels in the future: I feel you. It's just... a game like AoS, or a sequel, is unsustainable, at the moment. We have to sell 10000 more copies to make this possible! ...given or taken a zero...

Aeon of Sands: The Trail - Dungeon Crawling RPG love letter to the 90s!

Not in the near future. We are keeping options open, but, in the meantime, both of us have been swallowed by real life. The more likely thing is that we will add alternative gameplay modes to the game, towards end of the year; past that, I cannot say.
