  1. So -- Deus Ex.

None whatsoever - there's no selling stuff in DX, all commerce is strictly NPC goods for your money...
  2. RPGcodex.pl

    Jesus fuck. Hooo. /Gdynia out
  3. Silent Storm fun

Crichton overstated some stuff - as in, you can't headshot enemies without having an actual LOS, so the scout trick, while it does work, is not THAT powerful. And I'm fairly tolerant towards Panzerkleins, IMO they fit fairly well with the original WWII supa-science wackiness of the S2 plot...
  4. Gothic 3 is officially forgotten?

And I just had to share: Behold the integrity of German devs in action
  5. After AoD3.

Oh, man. I'd SO want a SF RPG to happen... but why does it have to be Heinlein's "Orphans of the Sky"? I'm far more partial to Aldiss' "Non-stop", not to mention the additional twist that Ballard came up with in "Thirteen to Centauri", and Sterling went the whole hog with in "Taklamakan"...
  6. Wasteland!

Sorry, my bad - but last year, out of nostalgic memories of the demo, I tried to find the full release and couldn't, so I decided it had to be vaporware, and the storyline of the new one is a fucking clone of the 2001 effort. OK, so there are two reviews quoted at the Moby page - a German and a...
  7. quick FO1/2 question

Ah, Jesus, handholding time: When your character holds the scanner, you can access the current location's map in the PIPBoy thingy, set the switch to HI, and check what all is moving around, and where. Miraculous, innit?
  8. Wasteland!

Holyfuckingcow, but this took them a sweet while... I remember (fondly) playing a demo of that thing that was released in 2001 - see here, for instance: http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d1490.htm Must be beyond any recognition now, though.
  9. quick FO1/2 question

The scanner, like the Geiger counter, is a hand-held item. Work it from there, pal.
  10. Interview Sacred 2 posers and panders at RPG Vault

They're in, of course. The horsie does the rotatin'. Hoof Powah.
  11. Best non-squad (fantasy) TBS games?

Ver. 6.04. I'm not very far in, I admit, but it wasn't all that hard yet (although the attacks on mine sites are persistent - a good thing, too, IMO, "realistic").
  12. Best non-squad (fantasy) TBS games?

:D At your service, man. BTW - did you try poisoning cities? Just thought I'd ask... May take a while - I'm currently plowing through JA2: Wildfire for the first time and enjoying myself immensely. But count on it... eventually.
  13. Best non-squad (fantasy) TBS games?

As for the number of heroes, I usually go with just one ubar guy to blitzkrieg any opposition and collect mad xp and artifacts (often a scout, as they're the fastest), + a mage to use up the scrolls, a couple rod guys, and a thief to loot all the stores in the map. I never buy, I only steal :D...
  14. Best non-squad (fantasy) TBS games?

But then, you may become able to conquer the enemies' fortresses. And that's a kick and a half, even if the battle takes, like, 30 turns. The first time I managed to do it... one of the sweetest moments in my gaming experience :) Linky plz. I already felt that the DII gfx were a notch...
  15. Your most disappointing ending for RPG ever? -Spoilers-

If memory serves, Katrina (Shady Sands) tells you it was raiders who blew the V15 entrance. No supermutants, no army on tanks, just a bunch of Khans or some such. Yeah, right, because the NPCs in FO do so have limits to the weight they can carry... O RLY? And what's to stop you from...
