    The Guild 3

So if I want to play one of the games in the series, which one would you recommend? I know I have to get some fan patches for the bugs and stuff but I'm not sure which ones.

    Thief fan missions and campaigns

Oh, sorry, I was actually refering to "Of thieves and rubies" not "Snatch and Grab". "Saturio Returns Home" is indeed a great mission, with the caveat that you should not try to ghost it because guard senstivity has been raised a ludicrous amount and it's more annoying than fun. In fact...

Hmm, I couldn't get the mission to work, chances are I have an old version of DarkEngine or something. Do you guys know how I can check and fix that?

    Thief fan missions and campaigns

Man. I played Hidden Agenda again so I could finish up my review of it and I'm in a mood for more Thief so I'm going to try out that Of Thieves and Rubies campaign and see how it turns out :D I can't help but agree that Thief 2X's difficult is a let down, if simply because there's no chance you...

Yeah, mapping is a big part of the game since there are many one-way doors, spinners and teleporters which wouldn't be as interesting with an automap. Of ccourse, if you don't want to map the game, it's fine too, but I think it's better played with graph paper in one hand and a ruler in the other.

I've been looking around a bit but I haven't found a good answer: What makes a piece of armour equippable or not? And are cloaks treated like any other piece or armour or are there additional limitations to it? :/

    Wizardry The Wizardry Series Thread

The issue is that I've wasted A LOT of points already, the thing of not knowing how to spend them, I guess. Other characters were affected too (*cough*Communication*cough*) but she really got the short end of the stick in comparison. I mean, I spent points on that skill that uses no weapon and...

I simply checked them to get out of Trynton, though I don't expect to be on the longer side of a playthrough because I know I'm not exploring every corner. Yeah, that seems more in the line of what I'm seeing so far. By the way, my Faerie Ninja is useless because I didn't raise her strenght...

    Wizardry The Wizardry Series Thread

I've been playing Wizardry 8 and I wonder: How long is this game, really? I'm in the swamp, which the two or three walkthroughs* I checked place in the middle of the game. But people speak of 100 hour playthroughs and I doubt I have put even 20 in there. *Got lost in Trynton. I blame the lack...

Wizardry Dabbling in Wizardry 8, want to dive in

By the way, I feel I might be trying to turn too many of my characters into jack-of-all-trades, for example, my priest invested in several schools of Magic which I'm told is not a good thing to do. Is it really a bad thing? Should I have focused each character in just 2 things and ignore...

It does! It's pretty good, actually. And I do have a Ninja Faerie just because you guys keep talking about it.

Wizardry Dabbling in Wizardry 8, want to dive in

I made it through Arnika Road with only one casuality. I was ganged by screeching bats which kept spamming fear attacks while I tried to cut down the horde of "Man". So far the thoughest battle I've faced with the exception of the apparition I triggered in a chest and that I luckily killed...

Wizardry Dabbling in Wizardry 8, want to dive in

I'm already finishing the monastery again, this time I explored it far more in depth, meeting the merchant for the first time as well as picking up the resurrection powders at the waterfall. Oh, and my mage isn't dead, making the experience much better all around. However, I've noticed that the...

Wizardry Dabbling in Wizardry 8, want to dive in

There's a lot of tricky stuff in the game, I know those caves at the beginning give you clues towards something I haven't found yet. If I recall correctly, this is my main formation right now: Front: Empty Right: Priest Center: Fighter, Ninja Left: Valkyrie Back: Mage, Bard She killed herself...

Wizardry Dabbling in Wizardry 8, want to dive in

Ah, just got it! There was a room with some items behind a glass wall, which is destroyed once you destroy the machine in the room locked behind key. I totally forgot to check that one. I started another game with the same party and my Mage got killed before making it to level three again, so I...
