  1. Game News BioWare Are Not EA's Bitch

It's an acronym for absolutely retarded turd.
  2. Editorial Deus Ex, and Why Game Narratives Fail

Because the protagonist is the player. In a roleplaying game the point is to be able to decide how you play your role. "Adding another dimension to the protagonist" confines the player to play only in that dimension. fixed b) everything else should just be erased. P.S. Space invaders is...
  3. Editorial Deus Ex, and Why Game Narratives Fail

That gets old as soon as you try to replay the game for the second time. Games are not movies. It seems though very few people understand that.
  4. Game News Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Video Walkthrough

    In b4 "What's better TWitcher2 or KoA:R?" P.S. Looks decent enough.
  5. BioWare: RPGs Are Becoming "Less Relevant"

Actually what Greg tries to say is that making RPGs today is not worth it. Someone should notify the guy that interactive movies and RPG games are not the same thing.
  6. Why can't I play a disabled character?

Isn't the essence of role-playing to be someone you can't be in real-life? Why, if you can't walk/see/hear in real-life, would you want the same handicap in the virtual life you're living? And on the subject of having a certain skin color - in many RPGs you can change the skin color of the...
  7. New ME3 details

I'm pretty sure it was the other way around. That is fans of ME had a way to buy ME2 and get free shit in the form of DA2.
  8. Free CryEngine 3 SDK

Position of the camera is not important. The turn-based bit is.
  9. Free CryEngine 3 SDK

I second that. If UDK or crysdk is useful for anything more than creating fps clones, this challenge would prove it. Otherwise the engine is not very flexible and one is better off with unity.
  10. Arx Fatalis source code released

Aren't those exactly the things one could fix having access to the source?
  11. It's time to do justice: Risen or The Witcher 2

Meh... Risen vs Torment wouldn't be that good of a comparison. I vote Risen vs KoTC
  12. DAO vs Risen, which do you like better

I couldn't play risen past the part of going to the bandits camp. And the flailing arms during speech are just plain annoying. DAO has better story, better world, better combat and no flailing arms (deciding factor here).
  13. what is this i dont even

Well it's actually the job of marketers to know what customers want. Of course, the guys at THQ appear to be absolute retards in that aspect. If you think about it, it's actually hard to measure what kind of game will have a better ROI, and a games company ultimate goal is to have the...
  14. Good news, everybody!

    Obvious fix
  15. Just hack the files and forget about it.

Which is why rolling in a crpg is a pointless act. Best to simply give the player a shitload of points and let him spend it any way he likes.
