  1. Game News Fallout: New Vegas - By Obsidian, For Bethesda

I'm really hoping this will be a good FPRPG. But my motivation for doing so is slowly changing from wanting a good FPRPG to wanting to watch the hilarity it will cause on the Bethesda forums and especially here. I mean, what better way to troll the Codex than a good Fallout game with Bethesda's...
  2. Can you change it back, please?

I still think I'd make a better Cloaked Figure. Can I at least be renamed to Captain Non Sequitur and get this as my avatar: so CF gets annoyed at other people getting their wishes?
  3. Can you change it back, please?

Can I be Cloaked Figure next?
  4. Best dungeons

Nah, there are more specifically designed dungeons in the main quest. And whoever is responsible for the dungeon in which you search the picture (forgot if it's Wayrest or Sentinel) should be shot.
  5. RPGs_that_will_run_on_linux_and_my_shitty_laptop

Apart from emulated stuff, I don't think there's a whole lot, although I haven't tested too many indie RPGs. Everything dosbox should work well enough. Exult runs on linux, so if you want to replay Ultima 7, that's an option. There was the Bard's tale spiritual successor Devil Whiskey...
  6. Europa 1400: The guild

Unfortunately, they keep their offices in your cells. The only ways to make room are waiting for them to get elected into higher offices, calling for dismissal and death, dismissal being the standard way. Always look what other offices are open when planning a dismissal, so you do not suddenly...
  7. Europa 1400: The guild

Pretty much, it's one of the things that don't work too well. There's a poison you can apply to a house, but you rarely find the right one. Duels work somewhat, but you usually lose some health yourself in the process. I also suspect that there's one of the thousands of bugs. If you have the...
  8. The Master of Magic Thread

1 or 2 nature, 1 or 2 chaos, 6 to 8 Sorcery, Node Mastry and perhaps Archmage. Node mastery is extremly powerful, and having books in several realms gives you the opportunity to trade a lot. Sorcery is just plain fun. Phantom Warriors, and later Phantom Beast, are incredibly useful spells...
  9. Europa 1400: The guild

Did you have the 10.000 at the beginning of the turn? If you had it at the end, there's still taxation. You should be getting a message at the beginning of the turn saying something like "you can apply for civic rights." The "narrator" informs you, too. I do think the parchment is only...
  10. New all time low for game critics: PCGames gives Risen head

Technically, it's hand selected alpha testers that are giving the head. I liked how everybody was "zomg Gothblibion!" and then at the end, they let one of them do some token criticism: "Collectable plants are not hidden, but marked with bright color like in Gothic 3, making them look out of...
  11. Europa 1400: The guild

Nono, you click on the top bar, click "court a spouse", click on the wife you want and then you have to pay a lot of money for gifts for four rounds or so, and then, if you're lucky, you get laid. Exactly like on russianbrides.com.
  12. Europa 1400: The guild

One of my favourites, spent quite a lot of time on it. You get the possibility to apply for civic rights, if you have enough wealth at the beginning of a turn. Total money, not cash, which is displayed if you right click on your character name on the top of the screen. Or perhaps in the...
  13. Master of Magic clones are cursed. Alternatives?

It's free software, so I'll check it out in any case, thanks. Hmm, I skipped Civ3. Probably not worth the effort getting into that first. I used to play Civ 4 a lot, but never gave that mod much thought. MoM had so many subtle (or not so subtle) gameplay differences to Civ that I figured...
  14. Help me remember an old DOS RPG game. (Ultima-like?)

Either that, or post pictures of boobies. I have the feeling that either will increase the productivity of this thread tremondously.
