  1. advise for this forum: a sticky thread

this forum could use a sticky thread because I just decided to give it a peek and could use either a sticky thread or sticky post that has a url, an email and maybe a FAQ or two in it to get me kinda caught up on the biddy details. anyway, I've got lots of reading to do. bye.
  2. Fan Fallout: Fallout By the Fans

but but but....you're not Tim Cain - and I thought that was the whole point; Bethesda not being Tim Cain and all. If "only Tim Cain can make Fallout3", then why are you even trying?
  3. Community Bethesda developer on the FO fans reaction

Yes. Not buying Fallout3 is exactly like being shot to death.
  4. Community Bethesda developer on the FO fans reaction

Maybe thats the problem - I wasn't trying to say that. I wasn't saying that nobody had a right to post about games, or that being passionate about something is a bad thing. What I was trying to say is that there is something universally haplessa bout putting a cart in front of a horse. Bethesda...
  5. Desired Fallout 3 Improvements?

I've got no problem with 3d when it is implemented in a way that enhances the game/story rather than trying to be its own reward. I have few complaints about the S2 engine itself (not to change the topic of the thread, btw) - but I do line up with everyone else in regards to the Brotherhood of...
  6. Fallout 3 storyline...

Agree w/ notion that Brotherhood of Steel has been played out. The game needs some new mythology to breathe new life to the setting. Its as if your options in this universe were to either join a gang, be a mutant, or join the BOS. I'd like to see something entirely new.
  7. Desired Fallout 3 Improvements?

The problem(s) I had with the S2 camera were all about coordination, but not my own limitations. The game wouldn't just let me set the camera angle I wanted and leave it alone - it reset itself to seemingly random positions such that I'd have to constantly reset it to where I wanted it to be...
  8. Desired Fallout 3 Improvements?

There are hundreds of Ink Spots covers to choose from and they're pretty inexpensive to get the rights for reproduction. Good suggestions would be "Do I Worry" or "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow, And Me)" If the series wants to continue the 'new title = new artist', then Hoagy Carmicheal...
  9. Community Bethesda developer on the FO fans reaction

wow, it sure is easy to get people worked up. I have a better perspective now as to the "OMG TEH BETHESDA ARE TO RUIN TEH GAMEZ" debate. The conclusion being: you either lemming along with the anger, or get stampeded by it. I beg apologies for espousing an unpopular point of view. By way...
  10. Arcanum 2 - my thoughts on how they should do it

My thoughts: this time, finish the artwork instead of shipping with your placeholder art still in the game. no, I'm not making that up just to stir the pot.
  11. Fable

Peter M is also responsible for the flashy but feature free Black & White, so while Populous may have been a really fun 16bit game once upon a long long time ago - he's also known for making all kinds of Star Trekish designs for games that we wont have the proper technology to create for another...
  12. Community Bethesda developer on the FO fans reaction

Well now you've gone and made me register. I've been a die-hard Fallout fan from the moment I first installed it. Realizing that's not exactly going to get me my Old School props in this forum, I'll back it up with a confession that prior to Fallout, I was a life-long Inkspots fan from the...
