  1. Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

You might be right, but it's quite ironic for you to post this point in pretty much any thread on Codex. You must realize that this is the home of powerless men dying in figurative ditches over important real life issues like what constitutes Incline vs. Decline in their hobby. :)
  2. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

Congrats! Was it 50+ hours for one play through to get to the end or is that the total of multiple different play throughs? Pierre estimated 40ish hours of gameplay for AoC, so just trying to see if that is a reasonable estimate for one playthrough.
  3. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

I agree DnD is not niche, but KotC1 and KotC2 are niche games within that genre because of their pre-90s graphics. A more consistent art style, with better sprites than KotC1 doesn't change that. I think you make my point with your own words that I have helpfully bolded above. Pretty...
  4. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

Fair enough ... If a hired marketing person has the personal connections to get his KS exposure with some gaming sites and gaming influencers it probably be worth it.
  5. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

Hmm, I don't really see that potential outcome. This is a very niche game. I'm really excited for KotC2 and backed on day 1. But, let's be clear eyed about it. It's 2020, not early 2010s at the height of KS frenzy for video games. The graphic/artstyle of KotC1 / KotC2 is pre-1990s and...
  6. Game News Baldur's Gate 3 Community Update #3: Early Access coming August (maybe), new gameplay on June 18th

I guess we'll be able to judge for ourselves soon, but it seems to me that Larian is really trying to convey they heard and made changes based on a lot of the earlier feedback. To wit, mentioning tone, which I felt was good in the previous intro (on the ship), but too light and cheerful in the...
  7. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

Not sure if anyone is tracking how the Kickstarter is doing, but just eye balling the current progress, I'd guess he'll get to the 35,000 pound stretch goal. 100-200 pounds a day will get him over the 30k mark and partway to 35k. Then I expect he'll have a decent last 24 hours to get to the...
  8. People News Darklands creator Arnold Hendrick has passed away

I played Darklands when it first game out and found its gameplay refreshing and interesting. Unfortunately, IIRC, it didn't always hit the mark on fun, which after reading the various articles, I suspect was due to the bugs. I did find the setting and atmosphere of the game great and would...
  9. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

I gave Pierre a few suggestions regarding his structure and pricing of the KS. He took some of the advice but held pretty firm on pricing. I thought he should give a progressively larger discount the more modules you purchased. I think he knows his fan base since, despite the pricing, I and I...
  10. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

Yes. He has built KoTC2 Augury of Chaos already. That will supposedly be released via download on his website right after the KS ends (if funded). Then for those at the right tier he will get the Steam keys out (I'm guessing a few weeks later). The first 15k pounds from the kickstarter...
  11. Game News Knights of the Chalice 2 Kickstarter live

Hmm, your German credit cards must work differently than mine. I too don't pay any interest on my purchases, despite using a credit card. I just pay the full balance owed each month which results in No interest accrued. But, I still get the juicy points my card offers on all purchases :)
  12. Game News Knights of the Chalice 2 Kickstarter live

Backed and excited for July to play Augury of Chaos.
