    but was dissapointed.
Nice visuals, gameplay is very flat and monotone.
Lots of promise, but only teasing.

This game seems pretty Incline (it's sort of like a weird football manager where you can play the match yourself with your players in turn-based mode , I'm having fun with the demo):

Incidentally, I tried the demo and got bored. Click on kid, click on trash pile, find crafting mats, build crafting station. Find more trash piles, find more crafting mats, build bigger crafting stations. Click on food if hungry, click on bed if sleepy. Get to world map, click on building, find more trash piles, get more crafting mats. Zzzzzzzzz They did fund so maybe they will make a game eventually but first impression did not make me eager to spend more time here.

    Here's a challenge:

Name games that have fun crafting in them. Bonus points if it was made in the past decade.

I'm intrigued by the idea, but the graphics give me a very primal distaste for the game. Realistic heads on non-realistic bodies just plain old doesn't work and this is especially true when the faces are very varied but the bodies are exactly the same bar slight difference in height (maybe width). Just looking at the screenshots makes me feel uneasy due to the sheer uncanny valley. Only 5 games (Ultima 6, the Ultima 7s, Knights of the Chalice) and the PS1's method of rendering 3D (It's the system, ports with the same graphics don't bother me.) have done that and the only one where it's sheer uncanny valley instead of weird prospective

    Some interesting looking things.

Yaga, a Slavic folktale action RPG where you are a cursed, one-handed blacksmith, boasting about high reactivity of the world and NPCs:

Elsinore, "a time-looping adventure game set in the world of Shakespeare's Hamlet", focusing on social simulation and dynamic story:

Just noticed that Age of Barbarians GUI:
is basically a rearrangement of Blade of Darkness GUI:

    HUGE incline!

Now than I think of it, it's not just GUI.
Main character, voices, combat system, animations, gore -> it's basically Blade of Darkness 2d.

And people used to make fun of gamers playing Football video games instead of going outside and playing it.

Now they have version for mentally handicapped kids as well. :salute:

Atelier games are all about interesting crafting systems.
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/527270/Atelier_Sophie_The_Alchemist_of_the_Mysterious_Book/
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/527290/Atelier_Firis_The_Alchemist_and_the_Mysterious_Journey/

The crafting itself in Notrium isn't that interesting but the way you don't just combine items but also break them apart to cannibalize parts for other items as needed makes the crafting in it really nice and I really wish more survival games had something like that instead of item durability systems that make you not really care that much about getting more resources/items despite making getting more stuff essential.

I had fun making potions in The Herbalist though it doesn't have that much else to do.
There's also Everyday Lite if very detailed and realistic cooking counts as crafting.
Thea: The Awakening's crafting system also was pretty neat with the way you picked what you want to make and then a bunch of materials to use with each material having a different effect on the end result(iirc "better" materials sometimes not actually being better due to not really being suitable for a specific item was something I thought as pretty cool).
It's been ages since I played it but did Summon Night Swordcraft Story 1&2 for gba have a nice crafting systems? I feel like it was nice but I don't really remember what it was like.
Therian Saga has really complex crafting systems I believe, I never got around to playing it that much but I recall having some fun in trying to figure out what herbs affected which parts of a potions effects and by how much before I got too into it and totally burnt out on the game.

Atelier and Swordcraft Story have already been mentioned, so...

    If that is "fun" then:

Miles better than Arcanum in terms of combat and crafting.

Blood Bowl: Death Zone, a new Blood Bowl game published by Cyanide themselves, coming to Early Access:

I was never into the previous two games but looks like it plays pretty different (short match [5 minutes], real-time only?) and production value is much lower:

Also it won't have single-player mode at EA launch.

If you want a real-time "Blood Bowl-like" play this instead. Done by the same guy who made the 1993 Genesis classic.
