I know what you mean. I've tried to play Doom and Final Fight 3 on my Lumia 520. It was a shitty experience, to say the least.

You can play console RPGs just fine but anything requiring mininal dexterity is going to be frustrating

By owning a Windows phone, you are playing the role of a loser.
Confirmed with Zelda: ALTTP on a SNES emulator. Horrible and frustrating. However, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest/Warrior play just fine.
