Boargutter looks at all the literate ones filling the form. The sight left him no wiser than before.
He decides to copy the most simple patterns from his fellow travellers, and settles on writing whatever Ss'ouk had written on his scroll.

Nakhas sighs. "Then I will endeavor to prove myself worthy, if that will get the townsfolk to listen to my message." He looks at the rest of the group and nods. "We will find the girl and ask her what task she has for us."

Goddammit, I didn't get any notifications. Just assume Oermagërd went along with everyone and has been standing mutely.

Oermagërd goes over to the parchment, looks it over with a perplexed look. He sees the recent scribbles and makes an 'X' on a blank line.

You all go to find the lady who escorted you to Bill Wiseman. After milling about for a short period, you see her and tell her what Bill said. "Oh, so that's how he's testing you... Well, I've got a job that could use doing. You know the inn here in town? Well, it gets supplied by a brewery a short distance from here, and they've recently stopped supplying the inn with booze and have put out a hire notice." She hands Ilbryn a scroll with the details of the instructions. "Please go there and see what the problem is. Do this and you'll get your medallions."

"Hmmmmm . . . Gërd, wonder why brewery hire if not sell beer? Not seem like labor curve match demand curve?"

"Well that was a bit... vague."

Cain offers a hand to Ilbryn.

"I suppose some introductions are in order if we are to work together. My name is Cain. Tell me good sir, does the scroll say anything else? Like, who are they hiring, more brewery workers? And if so, what happened to previous workers? It would be useful to know if we are walking into a labor dispute or a vermin infestation."

Ilbryn looks at Cain's hand for a second and looks at him warily. He eventually takes his hand and shakes it and nods. He then reviews the scroll to see what the instructions are.

"Hmm... Vermin infesstation? Ssounds tasty." Ss'ouk comments while still eyeing the guild and the workers of the guild with curiosity.

"When... do we wish to move to thiss... Brewery? And... do any of you need any other supplies?"

Sorry about the speed of my replies.

Ilbryn opens the seal on the scroll and reads the words on the fresh vellum. It states,
"Mage's Tower Brewery looking for help of armed adventurers. Vermin infestation in cellar, ruins discovered in cellar. Will pay upon completion."

"I wonder what kind of vermin they want us to clear out? If it's regular rats, I won't need to buy food for a few days."

"Discovered ruins in the cellar of a building called the Mage Tower? Well, that doesn't sound ominous at all. Shall we get started for the brewery? There are some supplies that I would like to have, but given my current financial situation I can do without them. But speaking of gold, does anyone remember hearing what, if anything, we are going to get payed for this job?"

"Paid?" Ss'ouk asks, looking puzzled at such a question.
"What would we get paid?"
Ss'ouk taps his toes on the ground anxiously, his claws making a clicking sound against the ground.

Sorry, sorry

The party leaves and travels a short distance away until, perched atop a small hill, they see a perfect recreation of a mage's tower, with a sign atop the mantle saying,
WIZARD'S TOWER BREWING CO.

THE MOST POTENT BREW YOU SHALL EVER FIND

You go to the top of the hill and knock on the door, and are answered by a fairly young Gnome who, nevertheless, sports an impressive beard, as well as a white shirt and tight black trousers held up by suspenders. He introduces himself as, "Me name is Glowkindle, owner of the Wizard's Tower Brewing Co. may I ask your business at my business?" He looks at you confusedly.

Are people not answering because they didn't have time yet or because their characters are not really a people person (reserved/shy/slow to trust/suspicious) and they are waiting for someone else to do so? I don't wish to steal spotlight from anyone.
"Good day sir! We are here about your notice to relieve you of your vermin and alcohol related problems. For we are a roving band of pest exterminators extraordinaire - No job too small, no pay too big - that's our motto. A few questions before we continue - how much are you willing to pay, exact number, type and disposition of the vermin, and, most importantly, how much?"

I think people might not have been getting the alerts?

Ilbryn looks the Gnome over. He wispers to others in the group. "Does he look like he is old enough to have the money to pay us for our services? Just a thought."

I stopped getting alerts altogether and then I had trouble tracking down the thread because I wasn't following it. If this starts back up tag my name and hopefully I'll get notified.
