I can't post to the Obsidian forums, they locked me out of my account after my departure.

When I realized this, I asked them to at least delete my account since I can't access it, and they said that was impossible to do (or Darren Monahan did, anyway).

The accounts on the Obsidian forums are likely stored in an SQL database of some sort. The forum software may not have a delete account function. That doesn't mean that your account can't be deleted but it means that some time has to be spent on deleting it properly without causing problems.

Logging into the SQL database, opening the accounts table typing DELETE FROM users WHERE users.DisplayName = 'Chris Avellone'; may not work because of dependencies on that row from other tables. He could find and delete all of those, but there would likely be several bugs caused in the forum depending on how the website code handles the SQL info.

Please stop implying that AwesomeButton is somehow emotionally invested in Obsidian, it is unbecoming. Clearly the gentleman is simply acting as a rational, neutral party.

I've never seen so many schoolgirls itching to suck the dick of the big man on campus as in this thread. It would make a great porno for sure.

Would you spit or swallow?

Ah yes, stating everything avellone has said is a misrepresentation of events, that he is likely lying, and that it was probably an unofficial offer, he probably heard 3rd hand is being a neutral party.
The absolute peak of neutrality, calling the one speaking a liar, an idiot who does not understand the circumstances of events he was part of, or being so malicious as to misrepresent the situation to what, give Obsidian a bad name for funzies? At no point have I seen him entertain the idea that Avellone was in fact telling the truth.
"
Although many people ITT reacted to this impulsively, note that it's never made clear if the "attempt to leverage" was made overtly, in a one on one conversation with Chris, or it's Chris' interpretation of the separation agreement he was offered.

I'm not trying to stand as anyone's advocate, just saying."

Non-compete clause is the least controversial news out of this whole fiasco. I'm not sure why is it generating so much butthurt in these comments

Because we are selfish assholes, and at the end of the day the only thing that truly matters is moar RPGs being produced - or not. The rest of the fiasco only concerns MCA's well-being. That non-compete clause concerns us. :obviously:
I said my piece of the evil nature of using his mothers cancer treatments as leverage against a former owner/friend already.

Realizing my family issues and the debts therein, however, they did make an attempt to leverage that into a far more confining separation agreement that would remove my right to work on RPGs, and my silence on all issues that could pertain to Obsidian or any other company they were involved with or the CEO had a % in (Fig, Zero Radius, Dark Rock Industries, etc.). This included an inability to critique games I’d worked on – much of my critiques on my own games tend to be blunt, and not being able to speak to them felt unnatural to me.

After all, Avellone is too stupid to understand the events in which he was a part, isn't that right Mr. Button? You are fond of calling others retarded, not surprising how quick you are to dismiss others ability to understand the situation in which they are in.

What's the issue with you pussy ass bitches? The "upper management" pulling that shit is 100% kosher but telling the truth about what they did (in a much too polite manner) is "talking shit", "burning bridges" etc? Because a good goy is supposed to always take it up the pooper while making a smiley-face amirite? Fuck those guys, fuck them sideways. Feargus can be happy that MCA doesn't have my temper and is too much of a nice guy, for I would have reconfigured his fugly orkface right then and there.

Not only that but most of what MCA says correlates with what fans have been observing and speculating about for the past years. We all knew something was off with Obsidian's management after all what kind of company appoints Josh Sawyer as director of 'fun'.

You guys just don't understand. Calling Avellone a liar, or an idiot who doesn't understand the circumstances and events that transpired around him being fired is just being Neutral. Obsidian upper management is clearly fine, it's that pesky Chris Avellone who just did not understand.

Keep deflecting and dodging all you wish. Perhaps I should try mocking your biased news, to see if it runs off you like water, or if you will recoil and gasp as if you have been found out.

What's the last good game Obsidian made?

I can't think of any unless you lower your standards enough to like New Vegas. Oh yeah I guess MOTB was great aside from being made in a shit engine.

I'll never understand where Obsidian fans were ever coming from. The fact that they got their hands on all these veterans and still couldn't get it right if anything confirms that the management was the problem.

Obsidian not refuting my claim that Feargus wears pink stockings doesn't make that claim true either. You have serious problems with basic reasoning.

Wrong. One-sided reporting is manipulation of the audience's opinion.

Putting your name out in public next to the claim kind of raises the stakes.

Accusations of fanboyism coming from this thread is a pretty amusing notion to be honest, just as it would be from the other side on a forum like SA for example.

You're a 1.0 fancuck, so who gives a shit what you think?

Both claims were made on the Codex. The clock is ticking. According to MoronicTeacup's logic Feargus is wearing pink stockings until this claim is refuted....
