Most of those sales were during Early Access when the game was like 8-9$. Also Steam takes a 30% cut

Also taxes (both US and Serbia, probably).

Of course, this is balanced by the fact you can probably buy a nice house in Serbia for USD $35,000.

I think your brain would overheat if you saw any house/apartment price on Balkans.
Every larger city (I'm talking 100.000 or more citizens) has an average price of 1.000€/m2.

Is the mouse lag fixed yet? I plan on upgrading to a 165Hz+ screen sometime soon and 60fps mouse frames aint gonna cut it

I assume you mean to buy, not monthly rent. If this is accurate, rent is around 15% of what I pay.

I think I know where I'm going to retire.

Though we didn't interact a lot, I was part of the PE KS/development fan feedback ignore-a-thon and offered opinions and counter-points to some of Sensuki's comments. I've read a lot of his posts and I don't think he's dumb or crazy, and I share the majority of his points of view regarding what made the IE combat work and how it informed the player of what was going on during combat vis-a-vis VFX and animations.

I also know he's an ex-competitive gamer and can be kind of anal. Shit, I play the IE games at 40 FPS too! Anyway, in a TB-based game like Underrail I think his concern about the mouse input lag is just silly. I'm sure it exists and he detects it, but I think it would serve him better in the long run to be able to filter out that kind of shit on a matters/doesn't matter basis rather than being hyper-sensitive towards it.

The player is moving the mouse all the time while playing the game and if that very basic action feels bad (which it does for me in UnderRail) that significantly hinders my enjoyment of the game.

I will admit that the fact that I was an ex-competitive FPS gamer probably magnifies the issue compared to other people, but I can't really help that. To me this kind of stuff matters. The very first thing I complained about for both the Pillars and WL2 betas was Vertical Sync and/or Mouse lag.

What causes the mouse lag in Underrail? I never noticed any (and I usually notice this stuff).

If you have a 60Hz monitor and use vertical sync all the time, you probably won't notice a difference from normal. The cursor is a software cursor (I think) and is rendered at 60fps according to Styg.

For those of us who have >60Hz screens the cursor appears laggy because our screen is updating a lot faster than the cursor is moving, and thus it lags behind/floats to where we move our mouse.

Use of a hardware cursor would solve the issue I think. The devs may all have 60Hz screens and thus not notice the issue.

So how many copies did the game sell? Styg is kindda vague on it.

Steamspy claims that around 35.000-40.000 people own it on Steam. If we say average price is 12$ that means around 420.000$- 480.000$
Added to this is the GOG numbers. Dont know how much it sold, but it stayed around 2 weeks on the top 5 (over xmas!), which seems quite strong.

Anyway. Would be interested to how many copies it sold, Styg - or is that secret info?

Was actually interested in the total number of sales, rather than any figures on what they earned.

Yeah, he's not exactly the anti-Sawyer hero, but at least he seems more interested in actually letting the players have fun instead of going over his head to make sure everybody has the exact same experience, because waaaah why can't I diplomacy with my barbarien??????

I don’t think is possible to design a good combat system in one year.

Do you hear that Obsidian and Inxile? You need more time to do a proper combat system!
