A running theme of the LP so far - at least, it's supposed to be - is that none of the characters are entirely who they appear to be on the surface, e.g.

Bubbly anti-supernatural schoolgirl = related to a shrine famous for psychics

Enigmatic spiritualist nut = rough & tumble ex-delinquent and club hostess

High-class socialite with strong personality = weak-willed and needy

Makes you wonder who the good doctor Tokigawa really is.

Well, at least Sakimura is consistently a simpleton. Unless he is a CIA agent infiltrating a Japanese school or something.

Well...at least a damsel to save. My original escape party was Maeda, Amanozaki, Mori and maybe Uehara (not sure tho). Add the jurnalist guy whom we never spoke to, tho he was super important and maybe Tokigawa and the nurse.

Actually, no. He killed the ones he said he would kill. He didn't lay a finger on the others, instead abandoning them to their own fates.

You can't even be mad at the guy, he didn't betray us or anything. Everything he did, he did with our silent compliance born of indifference.

Why would I? At that point it would be 'I accidently Kozaka, whoopsies'. At least now we have a logical conclusion of that path and a scapegoat to point fingers at.

The lulzsec team needs to be fed a failure or two once in a while. When they sate their hunger, they leave the LP to its normal course.

Same old Amanozaki vs Uehara, same old Amanozaki pretending mystic, useless information how love triangles (squares?) work with pubescent brats. No wonder we are advancing in the plot with the speed of a furious turtle.

I say it's time we took decisions more seriously, and stop voting the same things we voted for again and again before, with little to no results.

Shuddup about Uehara. The main reason I am going back is because she recognized her mistake and called out to us. She wanted us back. The only other person who shares the sentiment is Maeda, but she wants her Seiji, not us.

And for that matter, about Amanozaki, too. She refused to believe we were the murderer. That's a rare courtesy few characters extend to us.

For someone with no other goal in life (and no life outside of the hospital to speak of) these connections are a pretty big deal.

There were plenty of results if you know what to look for. Plenty of hints, leads, nuggets of information scattered here and there, waiting for us to make a connection.

In fact, we were in the midst of uncovering one of the bigger mysteries before we 'stopped voting for the same things' and tried to spice up our life with a bit of murder.

The talk with Amanozaki served a purely bonding purpose. What else could you ask her about, her taste in men?

I don't remember us choosing to 'go with the brats'. I remember us choosing to go with Uehara and Amanozaki during the third night, which I do not regret for a second, and then we stumbled upon them during the fifth night and decided to look out for the team. Had we sticked to the plan, we would probably have found the others sooner or later.

But truthfully be told, after the first impulse of MAXIMUM FUCK has passed, I would have probably voted for a more sensible choice. Remember, back when we were in trapped by Kayano and accused of being a ghost and there was the choice of letting Seiji do his thing and probably murder her, I did vote on getting back control immediately instead of letting Seiji take over.

Actually this already happened once, in another LP where we were playing as the council of elders in a prehystoric setting.
People got butthurt when ater their votes brought the demise of the council we couldn't continue as the awesome fire dude that offed the council.

We should be badass on our own terms, not possessed by some murderous freak.

I realize now that I've drifted astray. That was I think the first CYOA I was involved in, and while I was trying to cram the Wielder of Flame's cock as far down my throat as possible from the moment he walked in, I never flopped to have the council oppose him. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that he would slaughter everyone and reign supreme as a significantly more competent leader before the update occurred, but I think that my thinking was that the council could have been a restraining influence on his zealotry and not have all of our water-worshippers get slaughtered.

This time I allowed myself to be blinded by the lulz, mashing a cheap button to have our player character be a badass with his alternate personality while assuming that the only drawback would be a reduction in the number of his friends not bound within a book. I should have instead attempted to cultivate the seeds of badassery deep, deep within Shinoseki, leading to a stronger foundation that perhaps one day will make Seiji feel pride in the awkward alien personality that assumed control of his body. I apologize for the most recent string of poor decisions and will endeavor to do better.

I'm still voting to devour souls any time it pops up without losing control, though.

That prehistoric game was the one occasion I ever feel the complaints were valid. We were never told or suggested that if the council was disposed of it was game over and indeed we had many chances to evolve different forms of government so naturally many people felt it would be like switching a civic in the Civilisation series or Alpha Centauri. Pros, cons and consequences for sure but game over?

It was a shame as that was a really cool game and setting.
