...but none of it matters because there's a one-true-path solution that is so obvious even the AI knows it, and by midgame your inventive new classes are being exploited by the AI, too.

The game manages to fit all this into 640K of memory, just like the good old days.

...because it connects to Origin to load all your data anyway.

On the bright side Max Von Sydow plays the villain.

The game expertly brings back Gold Box-style first-person dungeon-crawling with tactical turn-base combat.

But that's only because it *is* Pool of Radiance and you've beat it 73 times already.

The game has an original advancement system, not based in levels or classes, and allowing great flexibility.

^^^ Bah, this thread is moving too fast again.

The game is designed by the RPG Codex, and will be the CRPG to end all CRPGs.

...But takes longer than Grimoire to be released because the RPG Codex keeps arguing about what an RPG is.

The game is a Darklands-like RPG by Josh Sawyer which is actually fun.

Let's fix this desync in posts:

The game has an original advancement system, not based in levels or classes, and allowing great flexibility.

... but it's designed by the RPG Codex, and while attempting to be the RPG to end all CRPGs, it never gets finished because developers keep arguing about what is an RPG.

The game has great art style.

But 1eyedking thinks otherwise.

This game rewards players for exploring away from the beaten path...

But the rewards are level scaled.

The monsters are all difficult and challenge the player in a different way than the last.

But you really wanted to go to the RPG Watch.

You ruined mine you passive aggressive faggot.

...some of them have thousands of hitpoints, others thousands and thousands.

The AI has advanced scripts and real world scheduling.

The game has so many playstyles you are sure to find one that suits you.

The game has so many playstyles you are sure to find one that suits you.
But you can only win the game if you play as an Underwater Basket Weaver.

The game has an original fantasy concept and world not derived from Tolkien

But it tries too hard, just like every other original fantasy concepts game.

The game is basically Daggerfall with all the features they didn't have time to complete included as well.

...But as a result it also has hundreds of bugs, a majority of them gamebreaking, and a lot of them easy to trigger and hard to notice until dozens of hours down the line.

The game has a crafting system that is easy to initially wrap your head around yet gradually opens up in intricacy and complexity as you delve deeper in to it, well thought-out, and compliments the game and story well.

The game is about being a SJW developer and you craft games that tell stories about how unique your are and how you've overcome great difficulties to come to terms with being a male lesbian.

The RPG features a really well made over-world map. You have several "hexes" you can explore. Each hex contains several unique locations that require the right mix of abilities and equipment to find and these locations contain treasures, resources or even just terrain which you can use for your own purposes (for instance, one hex might have very good farming terrain, so if you can clear it of monsters you could lead some people there, build a fortress and start a town or a city around. Soon you would have the people living there paying you taxes which you could use to field and maintain an army, etc).

... and soon you will be punching yourself over repetitive random trash encounters when exploring hexes.

The game has a lot of gore and sexy babes.

But the whole game is about ants fighting each other.

The game is set in the perfect rendition of steampunk to date.

...but you have to wear VR goggles and purchase a life size mecha cockpit to play the game.

On the other hand it has the most realistic procedurally generated worldbuilding of any game to date.

... which is implemented so bad loading times for a new game are two hours on a high-end machine.

The procedural generation also influences the AI, creating the first truly well done Radiant-style AI in a game.

Due to console memory limitations, level size rivals Deus Ex: Invisible Warfare.

The old dev team of Deus Ex gathers to make a true Deus Ex sequel.

This thread should have an end date, and at that point the OP gathers all the data and makes a design document from it.
Then, a Codex fundraiser is started to finance development.
Development is of course done by the Codex. We got enough developers here.

However they have Warren Spector on board.

The game has complex reputation system that tracks your actions not only to whom you do tasks but how you do them.
But the implementation was rushed, and every NPC in the world only reacts with small changes in dialogue that briefly mention your actions in detail.

The game contains a large amount of voice acting, and every single line was expertly directed.
